Description:  Metrolina Greenhouses is implementing a biomass boiler system and developing carbon credits resulting from the resulting greenhouse gas reductions.  Implementation of this project will feature an annual fuel savings of $1.6 million, reduced carbon emissions by 15,000 mtCO2 annually, and increased economic activity through purchases from local biomass suppliers.
